How much does it cost?
The cost of Gathered We Grow Farm School is just $45 per 4-hour class day. This comes out to $450 a semester, due at the time of class registration. However, under special circumstances we can arrange a month to month discounted cash payment plan. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about cost breakdown!
Are there any additional fees?
*Materials are NOT included in the cost of class days. A separate materials list, with Amazon links, will be available to you. However, many of the materials we will use may be common household items.
*Additional extracurricular lessons may require an add-on fee as well.
What is it?
What is a class day like at Gathered We Grow Farm School? Children K-12th grade are invited to join Gathered We Grow Farm School where we teach practical life and educational skills in a local outdoor farm environment. Most classes are held bi-monthly the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 10am-2pm. All classes are held outside, rain or shine! Every session includes several key features. Because our classes are as hands-on as possible, we can only take a limited number of students. Ideally our class sizes are no larger than 25 students on one class day. If the wait list also reaches capacity we may consider adding additional class days. So please reach out!
How many students are in a class?
Do parents have to stay?
Parents are asked to remain on the farm grounds while classes are taking place. They may be as hands-on or as hands-off as they’d like. Though we do feel strongly that there is even more to be gained and learned by parent involvement!
When are Farm School classes?
Our 2023-2024 school year will offer 2 class days a month from 10am-2pm on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month and break for Christmas and Summer.
Semester One runs from August 25th-Dec 10th
Semester Two runs from January 5th-May 17th
What if it rains?
Classes meet, rain or shine! Our current farm school location offers a large outdoor covered and cemented area ideal for rainy day situations. We’ll gather underneath and around tables and may even light a fire pit to keep nice and warm.
